Before FTT, there had been no successful commercialization of Ferrate treatment, despite numerous efforts. Commercial use has been limited by seemingly unsolvable problems related to manufacturing costs and product instability. FTT’s innovative approach is distinguished from prior synthesis methods because the resulting product is now a liquid instead of a solid. Therefore, the product can now be directly injected into a process stream without special handling or mixing equipment. Also, synthesis can be achieved utilizing existing bulk chemical feedstocks available at most plants.
After years of confidential development and patent prosecution, the Ferrator® has arrived. The Ferrator is a fully automated wastewater disinfection and treatment system, capable of producing commercial quantities of liquid Ferrate. |
